Perry Wayne Shore

Perry Wayne Shore, age 74, of Lenoir passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 at his home. Born March 23, 1943 in Watauga County, Perry was a son of the late Paul Daniel and Anna Mae Auton Shore. Perry enjoyed working in his garden and had worked 30 years at Hickory Vinyl. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and provider for his family. He also enjoyed spending time with his cat, Emerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Shore and Coy Shore; and four sisters, Louise Bumgarner, Lois Bell Shore, Joyce Bell Rayfield and Mary Lee Tayler. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean Allen Shore; his children, Allen F. Shore (wife Heather) of Mineral Wells, WV and Crystal Shore Buckner (Husband Grady Lee) of Hudson; three grandchildren, Paul Daniel S. Woodring, Cameron Burgess Shore and Caleb M. Shore; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. A graveside memorial service celebrating Perry’s life will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor James Baker officiating.
