Phillip Eugene Koon

Phillip Koon Lenoir - Phillip Eugene Koon, age 53, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice in Hudson. He was born in Caldwell County on February 4, 1964 to Linda Shore Schreiber and the late Eugene Koon. He was married to Darla Jones Koon. Phillip was a member of Central Baptist Church. He loved to spend his spare time fishing. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Ivy Koon and Wil Koon; brother, W.H. Koon and wife, Heather; sister, Shannon Bartholomew and husband, Benjamin; father-in-law, Jim Jones and wife, Lou Ellen; mother-in-law, Barbara Depew; brother-in-law, Sheriff Alan Jones and wife, Kim; nephews, Jack Koon, Joshua Mann, Cody Mann, Tori Mann and Garrett Jones; and niece, Jillian Jones. A memorial service will be held at Central Baptist Church on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Pastor John Jernigan and Pastor Ed Warren officiating. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Caldwell Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC28645.
