Phyllis Spears
August 28, 1958 — November 7, 2022
Phyllis Garland Spears, age 64, passed away on November 7, 2022.
Phyllis was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and an amateur pottery maker. She was a long-time, active and devoted member of Liberty Baptist Church in Valmead. She was always thinking of others, feeding anyone that visited her, and offering a kind word to those she ministered to.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vance and Pearl Garland; brother, Glen Garland; and her sister, Betty Loggins.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Angel Boyd and husband, Shane; brothers, Jack Garland and Bernie Garland; grandchildren, Destiny Boyd and Trinity Boyd; and other family members.
A celebration of Phyllis’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Dewey Bristol officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
