Rayvon Riley Laws

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Rayvon Riley Laws, age 83, of Lenoir, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2011 at Camelot Manor Nursing and Rehab Facility in Granite Falls. Born April 14, 1927 in Wilkes County, Mr. Laws was a son of the late James and Alice Russell Laws and the husband of the late Iva Dean McGee. Mr. Laws was a retired foreman in the furniture industry, retired owner/operator of Laws Grading and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Other than his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by 5 children, James Laws, Patricia Hatley, Ronnie Laws and wife Paulma, Cecil Laws and wife Renee and Shelia Suddreth. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Matthew Laws, Shannon Laws, Jamie Hatley, Misty McCarty, Angie Rudisill, Shea Suddreth, Mandy Laws, Tonya Suddreth and Ginger Laws and 15 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mr. Laws’ life will be held 12:30 on Monday, February 21, 2011 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. Burial will follow in the Laws Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:30 on Monday, prior to the service at Evans Funeral Service.
