Richard Russell Crolla

Richard Russell Crolla, 76, of Hudson, NC passed away on August 14, 2020 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Richard was born on December 27, 1943 to the late Anthony and Catherine Crolla of Stamford, Connecticut. Richard was married to Patricia Crolla for 55 years. Richard took great pride throughout his life in his yard and was an avid animal lover. Richard was known for his amazing sense of humor and his selfless love and actions for others. Richard had a great love for playing drums. He will always be remembered as a hard, dedicated worker. In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his brother Anthony Crolla. In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his children: Anthony Crolla; Richard Crolla, Jr.; Tracy Crolla and fiancé Jack Sauerbrey; and Kelly Dugener and husband Thomas. Richard is survived by one sister: Dolores DeMasi and husband Frank. Richard is, also, survived by his grandchildren: Heather Harmon and fiancé Brad; Scott Harmon and wife Samantha; Sahvanna Crolla McCorkle and husband Steven; Emma Ficke; and Anthony Crolla. Richard leave behind six greatgrandchildren: Brianna; Adisyn; Mason; Kylee; Ashton; and Tyler. Richard had many nieces and nephews. There will be a private celebration held at a later date.
