Richard Walker

Richard Todd Walker, age 60, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Caldwell County on May 9, 1965 to Mary Nichols Seagle and the late Wendell Wesley Walker.Richard was a wonderful and dedicated caregiver to grandparents, Lenny Edward Nichols and Mary Coffey Nichols and his great uncle, Bob Coffey. He missed his calling because he was an extraordinary cook, relishing hot sauces, particularly Frank’s Hot Sauce. He enjoyed collecting comic books, especially Marvel, he was a huge North Carolina Tarheels fan and an avid reader.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lenny and Mary Coffey Nichols and paternal grandparents, Rufus Walker and Colleen Baldwin Walker.Other than is mother and step-father, Earl Seagle he is survived by his brother, Jason Walker and wife, Lisa; daughter, Linden Ashley Turner and husband, Jay of Arizona; grandchildren, Milo Robbins; Jonah Turner; step-sister, Cynthia Hicks and husband, Kenny of Arizona; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

A celebration of Richard’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Stuart White and Pastor A.E. Shell officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at the Nichols Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
