Rickey Glenn Moretz

Mr. Rickey Glenn Moretz, age 60, of Lenoir, passed away on August 19, 2017 at his home. Born December 13, 1956 in Avery County, Rickey was a son of the late Denver Glenn and Ruby Guy Moretz.He was a sawmill worker and enjoyed building horsepower engines.He also enjoyed old timey cars including Super B, Barracudas and Chargers.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Ellen Gragg. Survivors include his daughter, Dora Havlen; a brother, Ronal Guy; sisters, Kathy Guerrero, Polly Moretz and Beulah Moretz; his grandchildren, William, Kurtis, Kaitlyn and Lauren; also numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating Rickey’s life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service.
