Robert Scott Davis

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Robert Scott Davis, age 48, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Mr. Davis was born in Burke County on June 15, 1962 to the late Jack C. Davis, Sr. and Alice Pennington Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Mackinzy Dawn Braswell. Mr. Davis is survived by his daughter, Sandra Leanne Davis and son, Robert Mackinley Davis “Mac”; brother, Jack Davis, Jr. and wife Jeanie; sister, Lorraine Austin; sister, Kathy Soots and husband, Nelson; and grandsons, Joshua and Noah Braswell. The funeral service will be held at 2:00, Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church, with Pastor Nicky Waters officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny W. Austin, Shawn Austin, Tim Crump, Stewart Richards, Skate Austin, Cecil Clark, Larry Rhoades, and Tony Eller. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:00, Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church.
