Robert Elton Greer

Robert Elton Greer Sr. Lenoir – Mr. Robert Elton Greer, Sr. age 84, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Trinity Ridge in Hickory, NC. Mr. Greer was born in Watauga County on March 12, 1934 to the late Roscoe and Lois Greer. He was married to the late Shirley Ann Norris Greer. Mr. Greer was a member of Tabernacle Advent Christian Church and retired from the Bernhardt Industries after over 30 years of service. In addition to his wife and parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia Gail Pritchett; granddaughter, Laura Elizabeth Williams; great-granddaughter, Morgan Williams; and daughter-in-law, Pam Greer. Mr. Greer is survived by his son Robert Elton Greer, Jr. and wife Lisa of Taylorsville; daughter Elizabeth Ann Callaway and husband, Chris of Lenoir; son-in-law, Kenneth Pritchett of Lenoir; grandsons, James and Jacob Pritchett; and great-grandchildren Austin, Landon, Robert, and Laura. Elton’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Trinity Ridge Lutheran Home for the love and care they showed to Elton over the past 14 months. A celebration of Mr. Greer’s life will be held at Tabernacle Advent Christian Church on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Frank Hall officiating. Internment will immediately follow the service at the church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00.
