Robert Clint Heffner

Robert “Strawberry” Clint Heffner, departed this life on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the age of 74, after a courageous battle with cancer. Robert was a cherished resident of Lenoir, North Carolina, and was surrounded by the love of his family in his final days at Lenoir Health Care.

Born on October 31, 1951, in North Carolina, Robert was the beloved son of the late Bernard Heffner and Mary Ann Coffey Heffner. He was a dedicated laborer by trade, spending his career working diligently in the sawmill industry. His work ethic was matched by his passion for simple pleasures, including a fondness for classic westerns and the joy of spending quality time with his family and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a precious great-granddaughter, Remedi. He leaves behind a loving legacy, survived by his two daughters, Angela Heffner (Tim) and Tracy Trivette (Lawrence); as well as his three adoring grandchildren, Bradley, Jason, and Alexandra, along with four adored great-grandchildren: Kayson, Amelia, Ophelia, Adalynn, and Raelynn, one brother, Rick (Kay), Robert's life was also enriched by the companionship of his loyal dog, Moose.

Robert had a keen appreciation for nature and enjoyed countless serene moments by his two ponds after relocating back to Caldwell County in the late 1990s.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Robert's memory to Amorem Hospice and Palliative Care.
