Robert Joshua Houck

Lenoir- Mr. Robert Joshua Houck, age 102, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Shaire Center. Mr. Houck was born in Lee County, SC on November 27, 1915 to the late Grover and Josie Field Houck. He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for 30 years for Broyhill Furniture Industries. In addition to his parents, Mr. Houck was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Griffin Houck; sisters, Faye Watson and Josephine Orders; and his brother, Timmon Houck. He is survived by his brother, Willie Houck of Lenoir; sister, Ethel Morris of Morganton; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Park on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Military Honors provided by the Caldwell County Veteran’s Honor Guard.
