Robin Price

Robin Terrell Price was born on August 23, 1956 in Lenoir, NC to the late James Edgar Price and Opal Kirby Price. Robin passed away at age 60; after a long battle with cancer on July 17, 2017. Robin was an amazing husband, father, paw, friend, and coach. He was a sports fanatic and a diehard Duke fan; and other passions included: his grandchildren, coaching sports, and listening to classic rock. He was employed by Fairfield Chair for 31 years. Robin is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sandy; daughters Jessica Price (Justin Sanders) and Melissa Price Walsh. He was very proud of his adopted daughter Beth Minton and goddaughter Hannah Robbins. Robin was blessed with four grandchildren: Michael Thomas Walsh, Cameron James Price, Raylen Scott Walsh, and Grayson Terrell Sanders. He had two honorary grandchildren: Emberlynn Greene and Lola Walsh. He was a father figure to many. In addition, Robin is survived by two sisters: Jimmie Kaye Widener (Leonard) and Ginger Hames; and one brother: Richard Wayne "Rick" Price (Celeste); and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Marc F. Guerra and his amazing care that went above and beyond. It was with your care and determination and Robin’s fighting spirit that he could live and fight cancer for 13 years. Also, a special thank you to Duke Hospital, Caldwell Hospice, and family and friends for all of your support. A service will be held at Lenoir Community Church on Thursday, July 20 at 4:30 pm conducted by Pastor Ken Byerly and Harold Joplin. The family requests all to wear casually and Duke attire. Burial will follow at Setzer’s Gap Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:30 at Lenoir Community Church.
