Roy Tedder

Hudson - Roy Eugene Tedder went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017. He was born July 13, 1936, in Lenoir, NC to the late Cicero Thomas Tedder and Cora Piercy Tedder. He is survived by his two children, a son, Michael S. Tedder and fiancee, Brenda Stubbs and her son, Aidan of Greensboro, NC and a daughter, Andrea Tedder Beane and husband, Lynn of Granite Falls, NC and his grandson, Thomas Beane and wife, Rebecca Mise Beane, of Lenoir, NC. He also has a brother, Ray A. Tedder and wife, Joann of Lenoir, NC; two sisters, Gladys Snyder and husband, Sam of Shelby, NC and Ruby Annas and husband, Doug of Lenoir, NC and special friend Ann Storie of Hudson, NC as well as a niece and 8 nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Lorena Tedder, an infant son Kevin E. Tedder; a brother, Ralph P. Tedder and a niece, Anita D. Tedder. Mr. Tedder was retired from NEPTCO, Inc, Blackwelder Oil and Sanders Electric, as well as a Disabled Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He was an avid bear hunter and attended Grace Baptist Church in Gamewell, NC. The family will receive friends in the chapel of Evans Funeral Service, Thursday, December 21, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.A graveside service with military honors provided by Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Park immediately following the visitation.Pallbearers will be Tim Annas, Jeff Annas, Terry Snyder, Jerry Snyder, Keith Tedder, Neil Tedder, Steve Tedder, Robert Tedder and Rayfield Lowman. After the service, the family will be receiving friends at the home of Andrea Beane.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Grace Baptist Church, c/o Ronnie Watson, 2306 Howard Arnett Road, Lenoir NC 28645.
