Ruth Tester Harmon

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Ruth Tester Harmon, age 94 of Flatwood Road Lenoir, died Monday, January 30, 2006 at her home. A native of Watauga County, Mrs. Harmon was a daughter of the late James and Sadie Brinkley Tester. She is survived by one son, Baxter O̢۪Neil Harmon and his wife Rachel of Lenoir; two daughters, Jamie H. Roberts and husband Marcus of Hudson; Margie H. Thomas and husband Otto of Zionville; nine grandchildren, Sharon H. Osborne and husband Craig; Sheldon Harmon and wife Cathy; Mark Roberts and wife Kim and Calvin Harmon all of Lenoir; Debra R. Templeton and husband Dennie of Radford, VA; Kay R. Swanson and husband Wayne of Hudson; Larry Thomas and wife Audrey and Joe Thomas and wife Debbie all of Boone; Nancy Thomas and husband Sean Fagan of Fountain, Colorado; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Owen G. Harmon. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Blue Ridge Memorial Park by Reverend Bert Blackburn.
