Shelve Dean Eller Tolbert, 86, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on September 9, 1939, Shelve was the daughter of the late Arvil and Lola Eller. She lived a life filled with love, kindness, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a treasured friend. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest happiness in spending time with those she loved.
Shelve was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Lee Tolbert; her son, Tony Tolbert; her parents, Arvil and Lola Eller; her brothers, Herman Eller, Butch Eller, James Albert Eller, and Bobby Lee Eller; her sister, Muriel Stern; and her sisters-in-law, Harriett Eller and Dorothy Eller.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Mary Tishia Reinheardt and Terry; Peggy Tolbert Poston; Billy Dean Tolbert and Tim Spencer; Jeffery Lee Tolbert and Becky; and Gary Wayne Tolbert.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Brandon Coffey and wife Megan; Joshua Lee Tolbert and wife Lea; Miranda Tolbert; Nathan Tolbert; Dustin Reinheardt and wife Catilyn; Christy and Mike Goldsberry; Chad Reinheardt; Sierra Roush; Randy Poston; and Kelly and Noah Lofton.

She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Virginia Eller, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Shelve loved making memories with her husband, Bill, and their family. Some of her happiest times were spent camping with Bill and their grandchildren, enjoying the simple pleasures of being together around the campsite. She also looked forward to her special trips to Pigeon Forge with her dear girlfriends, where laughter and friendship created memories she treasured for years.
In her later years, Shelve found joy in listening to live music around town and spending quiet afternoons coloring on her iPad. Whether surrounded by family, sharing time with friends, or enjoying life's simple pleasures, she had a gentle spirit and a warm smile that made everyone feel welcome.
Shelve will be remembered for her caring heart, quiet strength, generous nature, and unconditional love for her family. She taught those around her the importance of kindness, faithfulness, and cherishing every moment together. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave so freely and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
The family sincerely thanks everyone for the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time. While they mourn her passing, they also celebrate a life beautifully lived—a life devoted to family, friendship, and love. Shelve's memory will forever remain a blessing to those fortunate enough to have known her.
