Steven Allen Crump

Mr. Steven Allen Crump, age 41, of Granite Falls, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at his home. Steven was born August 18, 1972 in Watauga County to Donald S. Crump and the late Carolynn Bean Crump. He was an upholster by trade and loved his work. He loved going to flea markets. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Marshall Crump and Jay V. Bean; an uncle, Dale Crump, and an aunt, Gail Crump Miller. Those left to cherish his memory are Shirley Earp Crump ( Mama) and also his step mother, Diane Pipes Crump; his brothers, Rev. Mark Crump, wife Amy of Lenoir, Conan Lee Hunt, wife Gail, of Icard, he also leaves behind three nieces and two nephews which he loved with all his heart, Elijah, Elex, Anna and Abby Crump of Lenoir, and Irabella Hunt of Icard; two uncles, Darrell Crump and Dermont Bean; three aunts, Nancy Anderson, Judy Myers, and Reba Willard; his maternal grandmother, Darlis Shoemake Bean. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Rev. Ronnie Miller and Rev. Mark Crump officiating. A private burial will take place at a later time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
