Sylvia Beane

Mrs. Sylvia Clarke Beane, age 81, of Granite Falls passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at her home.

Born January 7, 1941 in Caldwell County, Sylvia was a daughter of the late Fray and Clara Hartley Clarke.  Sylvia was a member of Mulvale Baptist Church.  She was actively involved with many organizations in the church.  Sylvia helped to manage the Thankful Thursday group, doing crafts and planning events.  Sylvia was a successful co-owner of the Jan-Elb manufacturing and Teamates Incorporated.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Clarke; two brothers, Roger and Robert Clarke.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Wayne Elbert Beane; three children, Renee Beane Jones (husband Rick), Jeffery “JB” Wayne Beane and Kenneth Todd Beane; her granddaughters, Sierra Beane Pittman (husband Sean) and Heather Woods Everhardt (husband Robert); she is also survived by numerous other relatives.

A celebration of Sylvia’s life will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Mulvale Baptist Church at 3:00 PM with Pastor Brian Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
