Teddy Joe Walker, 75, of Lenoir, North Carolina, died on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at home in Lenoir after suffering complications of a stroke, surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Jerleen (Holder) Walker. Teddy was born June 21, 1937 in Caldwell County to the late George and Mary Juanita (Cline) Walker of Lenoir. Teddy is survived by two brothers, Roger Walker and Ronald Coleman Walker, and preceded in death by one brother, George Gary Walker, all of Lenoir, NC. Teddy was a truck driver for most of his life, and retired from Hickory Springs Mfg. He enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales. Teddy loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Survivors include his children, Timothy Joe Walker of Lenoir, NC, John David Walker of Sylva, NC, Karen Elizabeth (Walker) Huffman of Hudson, NC, Brian Ted Walker of Wilkesboro, NC, and Jennifer Lynn (Walker) Carroll of Lenoir, NC, eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and his companion Linda Fay Stewart, along with numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.     A Celebration of Teddy’s life will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Lynn Parsons officiating. Interment will follow the service in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Blake Walker, Grandson, of Lenoir, NC, Jesse David Walker, Grandson, of Sylva, NC, Dylan Tyler Summerlin, Grandson, of Wilkesboro, NC, Landon Walker Huffman, Grandson, of Hudson, NC. Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Lee Carroll, Grandson, of Lenoir, NC and Jacob Ray Carroll, Grandson, of Lenoir, NC. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 16, 2013 prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
