Lenoir – Mr. Thurman David Fox, age 88, of Lenoir, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Charles George Veteran’s Hospital in Asheville.Born May 7, 1926 in Caldwell County, he was a son of the late Dewey William and Mary Jane Hall Fox and the husband of Alice Gregory Fox to who they had shared 65 years of marriage. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Fox; brother, Levi Fox; 3 sisters; Flora Fox Johnson, Tressie Fox McRary; Ethel Fox Grogan and son-in-law, George Martin. Mr. Fox was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and the Bill Kincaid Sunday School Class.He was a US Army WWII veteran having served in Germany and France.Mr. Fox was the founder of 321 Radiator Shop which is operated today by his sons. Surviving other than his wife Alice is his daughter, Teresa Fox Martin; 2 sons, Mike Fox and wife Kathy and Tim Fox and wife Dawn; one brother, Ray Fox and wife Laveral; grandchildren, David Martin and wife Angie; Allen Martin and wife Heather; Eric Fox and wife Christen; Greg Fox; Lindsay Fox Pate; Kelly Fox; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Franklin; Ryder Martin; Blake Martin and Peyton Martin.He is also survived by their friend, Pamela Williams. A celebration of Mr. Fox’s life will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hudson with Reverend Glenn Walker officiating.Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Full Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 1:00 until 1:45 PM, prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be:Grandsons, David Martin, Allen Martin and Eric Fox and nephews, Rick McRary, Johnny Grogan and Jim Fox.Honorary pallbearers will be the Bill Kincaid Sunday School Class.
