It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Timothy Ray Tolliver, affectionately known as "Tim," who departed this world on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the age of 63. Tim passed away at Catawba Valley Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Tim was born on a warm summer day, July 14, 1962, in Robeson County, NC, to loving parents William Cecil Tolliver, Sr. and Jaunita Jean Pierce Tolliver, both of whom preceded him in death. Growing up, Tim developed a deep passion for the simple joys of life, including fishing, immersing himself in the thrills of NASCAR, and spending leisurely afternoons on the golf course.
Tim is survived by his cherished family: his devoted brothers, Billy Tolliver and wife Carol of Statesville, and Joe Tolliver of Elizabethton, TN. He also leaves behind his beloved nieces, Jamie Tolliver Prevette and her husband Jon of Troutman, and Miranda Tolliver Absher and her husband James of Canton, GA. His legacy extends to the next generation with his great-nephew, Will Prevette, and great-nieces, Maddie and Anne Absher, all of whom adored their Uncle Tim.
The family invites friends and loved ones to gather in remembrance of Tim's life. Visitation will be held at Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM. In honoring Tim's final wishes, he will be laid to rest on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Morley Family Cemetery in Mountain City, TN.
The Tolliver family expresses their gratitude for the love and support shown during this difficult time and invites everyone who knew and loved Tim to join in celebrating a life well-lived. Arrangements are being handled with care by Evans Funeral Service & Crematory.
Tim's presence will remain in the hearts of those who loved him, and his adventurous spirit will continue to inspire us all. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the comfort of everlasting love and the serene beauty of nature he adored.
