Tommy Bentley

Tommy Bentley went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 4th, 2026. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Gene and Flora Bentley. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Lucinda Bentley, daughter, Sherry Morgan (Jamie Moore) of Lexington, NC; Son, Tony (Glenda) Bentley of Lenoir, NC; Grandchildren Laura Ash-Roberts, and Johnathan Bentley, 3 great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends. Tommy was the love of Lucinda’s life and a very cherished father. 

He was an avid hunter, fisher, and all-around outdoorsman. He was known as a real-life Dr. Doolittle, and loved to talk to the animals.

A visitation service will be held at Evans Funeral Service Chapel on Monday, June 8th, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with a funeral service to follow. Pastor Drew Dellinger will be officiating. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
