Vernon Goforth

Vernon “Willie” William Goforth, age 39, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.Willie was born March 14, 1976 in Caldwell County. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Clark Young. Willie loved his family.He enjoyed camping, fishing and working on his old trucks. He is survived by his mother, Viola Young and husband Wayne of Lenoir; his father, Vernon “Gene” Eugene Goforth and wife Deborah of Hudson; his daughter, Amber Hass and husband Christopher of Lenoir; his son, William Gauge Goforth of Lenoir; Willie’s fiancé, Roberta Hoyle of Taylorsville and her daughter Hayden; his sister, Sharon Powell and husband Tim of Lenoir; his step-brother, Keith Young of Granite Falls; three grandchildren, Onna, Nichole and Oryan and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Willie’s family will be conducting a memorial service at 2:00 PM Monday, August 17, 2015 at Clarks Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Dale Payne and Evangelist Clifton Potter officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM on Monday, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be made to Clarks Chapel Baptist Church, 3212 Clarks Chapel Rd., Lenoir, NC 28645.
