Wanda K. Doak

Wanda K. Weaver Doak June 23, 1941 - April 28, 2026

Wanda Weaver Doak, age 84 of Granite Falls, NC, passed away on April 28, 2026 at 9:15 am. Ms. Doak was born in Caldwell County to the late Roy Weaver and the late Edna Phillips Weaver.

Wanda graduated from GFHS in 1959 and joined the USAF in October 1959 after graduating and was a service member until May 1961. She married a USAF officer in 1960, Maurice Edward Bishop. They had one child, Pamela Kay Bishop in Summerville, SC, in July 1962. Wanda and Maurice divorced in 1981. In 1984, she remarried to James Gary Doak. Step child Tina Martin and grandchild Amy Martin. They divorced in 1993. Wanda never re-married.

Surviving members of Wanda’s family is her only child, Pamela Kay Haley, Two sisters, Brenda Foster and Joann Blair, and One brother Michael Weaver. Other family members are niece-Michelle Bumgarner and nephew David Coffey. Grandchildren from Pamela Haley. -Jessica La Due, Jennifer Cleveland, Steven Haley, Christina Haley, and Katherine Haley. Great grandchildren include Chloe and Elijah Cleveland. Kendal, Thomas, Aubree, and Zachary Haley. Niece-Michelle Bumgarner and nephew David Coffey. Wanda had many close friends and other family members.

Wanda lived in several states during her adult life, but moved back to her hometown of Granite Falls in 2007 to be close to her siblings. Wanda was a faithful member of Day Three Church and her whole life she was a follower of Jesus Christ where she will family and friends who have gone to before her.

There will be no memorial service.
