Wanda Rose Henderson

Wanda Rose Henderson passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henderson, and her son, David Payne.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Randy Payne, Melissa Griffin (Greg), and Amanda Steele (Billy); her grandchildren, Santana, John, Timothy, Angel, Josh, Beth, Emily, Jordan, and Micah; her 12 great-grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Hendrix (Randy); and her brother, Richard Presnell.

Wanda was a loving wife, mother, Nanny, and Granny. She will also be greatly missed by her beloved furbaby, Molly.

Wanda was a hard worker who dedicated many years to Broyhill Furniture before later working for Tyson Foods, where she retired.

A graveside service to honor Wanda's life will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir, North Carolina.
