William Larry Jones

Lenoir, NC- Mr. William Larry Jones, age 68, of Lenoir went home to be with his Heavenly father on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice in Hudson. Born January 30, 1949 in Caldwell County, Larry was a son of the late Thomas Leonard and Bessie Lee Laws Jones.Larry had retired from Thomasville furniture as a machine operator.He enjoyed watching and playing all sports.He loved old cars and racing as well as automotive history.He expressed himself through his model cars and in the detail and care he put into them.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Amanda Jones; a sister, Louise Greene; two brothers, James and Ralph Jones. Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Martha C. Jones of the Home; three children, Keasha Jones, Tamara Paulson and Robin (husband William) Oliver; four sisters, Elyna Greene, Christine (husband Travis) Marley, Dorothy (husband Tommy) Felts and Edna (husband Jerry) Foster; one brother, Richard Jones; six grandchildren, Logan and Jaden Jones, Ian Paulson, Joryn “Sugar Bear” Hernandez and MaKenna and Kylie Oliver; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. A memorial service celebrating Larry’s life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Matthew Jones officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
