Wilma Miller Bryant

April 12, 1951 — December 12, 2025

Wilma Louise Bryant, a beloved resident of Morganton, NC, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the age of 74. Wilma passed away peacefully at Amorem in Valdese, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on April 12, 1951, in Watauga County, NC, Wilma was the cherished daughter of the late Roby Earl Miller and Thelma Potter. She shared a beautiful, lifelong partnership with her devoted husband, Larry Bryant, with whom she was united for 49 wonderful years.

Wilma led a life defined by love, kindness, and faith. A devoted wife, mother, and care provider, she served as a CNA and extended this empathy and nurturing spirit to her home. Wilma not only raised her own three children but played an instrumental role in the lives of her grandchildren. Her strong will and vivacious spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her; she was indeed spunky and adventurous.

In addition to her dedication to her family, Wilma was a committed member of the Church of Christ Lenoir, embodying the values of humility and openness in her community and never hesitating to lend a hand or a kind word to anyone in need.

Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Cecil Thomas Miller, and her sister Melinda Miller Brown. She is survived by her loving husband, Larry; her children, John Corum, Daniel Bryant, and Mary Esler; and her adored grandchildren, Hunter Bryant and his wife Haylee Dawson, Madison Bryant and her husband Travis Bradford, and Daphne Hudson. Wilma was also blessed with several great-grandchildren: Austin Smith, Carter Bartoe, and November Hudson. Her surviving siblings include brothers R.J. Miller, Frank Miller and his wife Martha, and Earldean Miller. Additionally, Wilma leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will all deeply miss her presence.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Wilma’s life will be held at the Lenoir Church of Christ on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Paul Nygard. Friends and family are invited to attend and share in the celebration of Wilma's remarkable life and legacy.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that online condolences be sent to www.evansfuneralservice.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Evans Funeral Service & Crematory, who is honored to serve the Bryant family during this time of loss.

Wilma Louise Bryant’s generous spirit, tireless devotion to her family, and unwavering faith leave an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be greatly missed but forever cherished in the hearts she touched.
