George Henry Stinnett

Mr. George Henry Stinnett, Jr., age 60, of Hudson passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice in Hudson. Born March 11, 1957 in Catoosa County, Georgia, George was a son of the late George Henry and Geneva McNabb Stinnett.He was a truck driver and enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on old cars.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rebecca Sue Stinnett; and one brother, Ralph Stinnett. Survivors include two sons, Chris Stinnett (wife Abby) of Asheboro and William Stinnett (Kristen) of Lenoir; two brothers, Charles Anthony Stinnett of Wilkesboro and Phillip Wayne Stinnett of Granite Falls; a sister, Donna Poole of High Point; three grandchildren, Jonathan Stinnett, Zachary Stinnett and Madison Stinnett; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of George’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Carol Maltba officiating.Interment will follow at Dry Ponds Baptist Church Cemetery.Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Melton, Mark Austin, David Austin, Keith Austin, Jonathan Stinnett and Zachary Stinnett.Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel White and Phillip Stinnett.
